I was there when it happened. We were just shopping normally as it was on Monday, a very quiet and peaceful day. What really happend was A Malay auntie's phone rang a SHORT Call of Prayer to remind them it's time for prayer. I remember there's a Malay Daiso Staff there who is serving her. Have known him well, he is insanely a very good Staff and provide the best service.. We have no problem about this since it's a daily thing so it's very normal for us. But out of nowhere, this Auntie start telli g her to "SHUT THAT F MUSIC OFF". We were shocked, but I could see the Malay Daiso Staff face almost blackened as he tried to ignore and walked away. THE , what really triggered the situation is that she start calling the Malay Auntie "TERRORIST". Yes... It was on. The Staff make a quick U Turn and yelled back at her to Stop it. He really stood up for the group of Malay Aunties who just wanted to shop peacefully. I have never seen him became like a Lion because he was really really PISSED OFF. But it is understandable, he really stood for his faith and for the customers. Most of us Chinese and Indians around are also pissed off at her. I even heard him yelled at her "If you are a Singaporean, why are you breaking the oath of OUR PLEDGE?!?". From that day on, I have an absolute mad respect for that Malay Daiso Staff who stood for what is right. I hope the management did not Terminate him because he was an insanely well mannered staff. 😢
