QUOTE(yenchenje @ Feb 10 2026, 12:44 AM) Hiveton Airpi H5000M Hi @yenchenje, I am planning to buy this too, is there issue with RM520N-GL module so far?Mini CPE router from China - WiFi 7 3x3 MIMO Config, no 6GHz (Only 2.4 + 5 combo) - Custom OpenWRT (ImmortalWRT Fork), running on MT7987A with 1G DDR4 and 8G EMMC - M.2 in USB 3.2 Gen 1 signal (Running currently RM520N-GL module, supports all global bands except mmWave) - 2.5Gbps dual WAN/LAN interchangeable - SMA for 5G and WiFi antenna (Exchangeable with your own preferred antennas) - Supports 5V-15V PD via USB-C power, power draw around 5-6W while active with 5G ![]() ![]() ![]() Currently testing mainly on SG network, got a peak of around 500Mbps DL and around 90-100Mbps UL via b28 LTE anchor + N1/N78 5G NSA band. Main fame comes from ability to customized and modify however you need. Seller sells just the board, or a combo of SMA antennas connectors, motherboard and internal heatsink + fan with aluminum casing Only downside is proprietary mediatek blobs (WiFi 7 drivers + SoC drivers) inside firmware, seller provide SDK but blobs not in mainline ImmortalWRT yet. Some work on software side needs to be done Will test eventually with RM530N-GL or RM551E-GL to see what can this little thing do if placed on mmWave. Pending testing for SA network within SG for speed Does provided SMA to ipex cable can use for RM520N-GL module? Is a good choice use as portable device? Anyway to bypass hotspot data? |

Maybe should consider getting a home modem? No shortage of people selling U Mobile modems on Carousell, Shopee and FB Marketplace which can make use of your U Home 5G. QUOTE(wyangw @ Mar 23 2026, 03:48 PM) Hi @yenchenje, I am planning to buy this too, is there issue with RM520N-GL module so far? So far been stable, I even modified the IMEI using my P8P IMEI and use it to bypass hotspot limitationDoes provided SMA to ipex cable can use for RM520N-GL module? Is a good choice use as portable device? Anyway to bypass hotspot data? And yes, 3 of it is for IPEX1 for wifi (Tri band) and 4 of it is for IPEX4 for cellular. Antennas bought separately though For portable, the only thing is it does not have an internal battery, so you will need a separate battery bank to keep it powered |

QUOTE(xswatch @ Mar 17 2026, 09:45 AM) Sorry for the delay in responding - only just got a landline phone. It works, but when you make a call or there is an incoming call, connection drops to 4G. Once it ends, it returns to 5G. This is confirmed by the connection indicator LED colour (5G - White, 4G - Green). But at least you can still receive / make calls without forcing the unit to 4G - it does that automatically |
