Where is the company based? If in Malaysia can check the SSM records. Physically drive to the office and try to talk to employees around there.

Did you check Glassdoor reviews?

Also does the company name in the emails you’ve received from them match the company name in the offer letter?

Make sure you have a written explanation of why the company name is different.

Also, look for former employees on LinkedIn and write to them explaining you’re considering the job. This is very valuable - I once avoided a major error just by doing this

About the 3 month salary compensation in case of no show - this is ridiculous, get rid of the clause. Worst case if you’re still interested in the company (after all the above checks) and still unable to remove this clause, then show up on the first day and decide. If not good then resign.

About the company name - its possible that the financial group is the holding company and the position is for one of its subsidiaries - but as mentioned before, get a written explanation from the company on why the indicated name is different. Once they give the explanation, look online to verify if the explanation is correct - e.g. via SSM/press releases. Even better if you can ask someone who knows the company.

About the former employees - not really a background check but ask them on linkedin and say you're considering joining this company and would like to know the pros and cons - most people wont layan but if you're lucky you might find some people who are willing to share some feedback.

If you're currently in a job, do not resign until all doubts are cleared and you have written records of important points.

Personally, obviously I do not know this company but that 3 month salary compensation in case of no show after accepting the offer is mind blowingly unreasonable, a potential red flag so if I were you, I'd really vet through the company's policies carefully in case there are other unreasonable clauses.
