I mean like for real man? Mahal, lousy and nothing like a usual Indian banana leaf meal but can full house during lunch. Really man, i went to a neighbor hood mall and i was surprised to see it packed with a little queue. I mean wtf man, how it became so successful within such a short span of time?

Probably its the hygiene factors that pulls the crowd, given the benefit of doubt (an outlet in mall serving)

I went once based on friend recommendation and will never go again. The moment i walked in already felt something weird, not to be racist.

When you see none of the staff are Indian in a banana leaf shop, you know nothing good will come out.

rice is mushy, curry are cold, chicken dishes like butchered from a 10 days old baby chicken.

mutton varu like 70% bones doh.gif

end up a grand total near to RM80 for 2 pax. I can have better meal at normal nasi kandar at half the price.

Its basically a sanitised, conveniently located banana leaf shop.

People put too much emphasis on something being very tasty but market shows that people are okay settling for a mediocre meal if the place is clean and in a mall where theyre going to do groceries anyway.

Same reason oriental, old town all can survive over kopitiam.

Its not about quality of the food but the other stuff offered. Namely AIRCON, cleanliness and convenient locations.

Even bkt same shit. Takkan you work in KL lunch time wanna go all the way to Klang under bridge for real bkt, right?
You eat the inferior shit near where you are because your mouth itchy.

Same. Usually only go if already nearby and suddenly crave it.

No time to leave the mall and purposely go good BLR which isn't nearby. Hungry dei.

Not really. Not everybody like the strong tasting stuff all the time.

But cleanliness is a big part. Less worried about diarrhea.

Want to say cheap also not cheap.

Their basic leaf starts from rm13.90. Normal BLR RM8-RM10.

Then comes the best part. Their dishes quite expensive leh. Easily more than rm10 for chicken/fish.

Oh, and their teh tarik really damn expensive, around rm5 like that, really can cover any loss from their basic BLR.
