Hey everyone, I'm looking for a broadband provider (ideally fiber) that can be put on hold when not there, i.e. every year the user is only there 4-5 months, so no use in paying for the whole year.

Both putting it on hold (maybe at a lower fee) as well as cancelling and making a new contract next time would be ok.

Are there any options out there?

5G SIM broadband plans. Like Yes broadband 5g or U home 5G. Both no contract, both around 58-68 a month for unlimited 5G speeds. Downside is you need 5G modem, around 1k. Unifi Air is cheaper but only 4G.

But do they allow you to suspend for months when TS is not around to use it?

No contract. Just cancel and sign back when you want

But for long term use there is a risk the plan might change.

Don't understand what are you saying.

That's why no contract is better what, no commitment can change anytime. You want to sign contract you ma tell them you want to sign lo.

Maybe I did not make it clear enough. It is definitely ok to subscribe and terminate anytime since no contract.
Only  thing is that the plan might change from time to time, but hopefully they continue to offer such plan for many years to come.

Since when you see plan change to become expensive? Always plan become cheaper or more data or more speed. Lock into contract is worse value because you cannot change when you see cheaper plan
