Hi guys,

I'm using digi in Penang area.

From last Friday, I kept noticing poor connectivity, where my phone (s22 ultra) keep showing 'No service' or 'emergency calls only', whenever going to place with poorer connection, where my family members who are also using digi do not encounter this issue and able to access the internet

At home, the connection is well and I'm getting 4g+ and full bars of connection, however, I'm still unable to use my mobile data around 90% of the time. My family members also do not encounter this issue.

The inability to access to the Internet is not due to insufficient quota as I still have a lot of quota remaining. I've tried flight and unflight mode, restarting my phone, resetting mobile network settings but the same issue still remains

Has anyone encountered this issue or have a clue what can cause this or how to fix it? I'm not sure if it's a phone issue or service provider issue.

Thanks in advance

Sim card issue? I'm still able to make and receive calls on this number. I've also tried to switch the sim card to sim2 slot

Put that SIM into different phone. If got data flow, meaning, the Galoxxx Note22 mobo or modem is faulty...

Try hard reset the Note22 before send for warranty claim...

I'm able to connect to WiFi and access the internet without any issue.
As for the mobile data, it's hard to determine as it is able to work sometimes, and the next moment it's not.

I booked an appointment for Samsung service centre to check what's wrong. However, they said they will need to replace the whole main board which cost around RM1800.

Decided to send to third party service centre. Upon calling the 3rd party SC, he explained that they have many Samsung phones from Note20 series until S22 series that encounters this issue. After I sent my phone to him to check, he said that is caused by faulty baseband IC. He needed to order the spare parts from China and the repair was only done today. So far not facing any issues and signal is great now.

Total repair cost is RM320.
