I am using the old unifi 800mbps package. The upload speed is slow like tortise at max 200mbps

When unifi introduce 2gbps. I was hyped but it is a 1 + 1 Aggregated offering.

So my question is whether maxis 2gbps is really 2gbps download speed on a single port ?

How about the router that comes with it. What model is it ?

Okay today finally completed installation after 3 times visit

first time , very professional and well mannered. Greeted me like VIP and told me ONU is old and outdated must be replaced

After a month no update and i complain to agent

Second visit , TM came but he replaced lousy router using fiberhome which is pointless because it doesnt support 2gbps

Third visit which is today
Finally completed

Speed is not as advertised though. Upload speed barely 600mbps

The router's wifi band steering is also quite lousy =(

Just a update

Looks like Web Browsers are not suitable for accurate speed test
I used a speedtest but in desktop version

It is much stable and better accuracy

Okay just a little update after using a month +

Honestly the speed is crazy fast. Well for downloading things is great and upload speed for sure a upgrade for me from 200mbps

But so far i dislike that the stability of the connection for gaming and connecting to websites outside Malaysia. I have to use cloudflare dns to connect some places which i able to access easily with unifi 800mbps

The router is pure garbage and the mesh wifi is even worse. Router connections for 5Ghz is terrible at max around 600mbps only even just beside

2.4 GHz is by far the worse connection i ever connect. Barely 100mbps.... not even 20mbps once you get away from it

So i decide to ask maxis to install the mesh. The mesh is even worse
Download maximum only 300mbps 5ghz band on the other room just 2 meters away. 2.4ghz..... barely 20mbps.... my mobile 1 bar 4G connection also even faster bangwall.gif
Everyday i have to turn off and on some of the mesh wifi devices
Because they do not have internet connection though the lights are all shown perfectly ok and wifi signal is strong

Stupid mesh wifi give me more headaches than my wireless AC wifi extender from tplink and even SLOWER TOO bruce.gif ranting.gif

Even though its RM29 monthly. I suggest DO NOT GET IT . Just replace a REAL " WIFI 6E " or WIFI 7 router
My friend is using the tplink BE85 which works like a charm but i thinking to buy it after the mesh wifi contract ends

Sometimes even connecting to local websites/servers take few seconds to load. Even going to google website as well rclxub.gif

Also the router only lets you do basic noob settings. Do not even bother to do some settings on it
The wifi steering is also pure garbage.... Yes by default wifi steering will automatically connect you to the better band but this router forever only connect you on 2.4ghz unless you get seriously close to it

I am thinking to replace it but i do not know what information do i need from maxis in order to connect using third party router
