For anyone who are interested to buy the new S24 Series, don't forget to order through ShopBack and get 1.8% cashback (for now). During S23 Series pre-order period, the cashback from ShopBack for smartphone purchase was at 5.5%, so that is a lot if you ask me.

For your purchase to be successfully registered by ShopBack, it was reported that using their mobile apps will be much easier rather than on web browser

If you are new to ShopBack, you can signup with my referral code tOSViS to get RM10 signup bonus cashback after you made a qualified purchase.

Choose any Apple iPad product and when ask for IMEI you can put in 15's Zero like this (00000 00000 00000) and get the RM600 trade in bonus applied.

When they call you up to collect your trade in product (which you don't have), you can always tell them that you change your mind or not happy with the trade in value they offer and call it off. This won't affect the bonus that already applied to your Samsung purchase.

If use ROI rm400 voucher, than you will cannot get the shopback cashback. This is feedback from shopback support last time.
*
I got RM300++ back from ShopBack when I pre-order S23U with ROI applied, and if you look at ShopBack now it offer 3.5% on Galaxy S purchase.

Managed to add in Samsung Care Plus 2 yrs + Silicone Case to fully utilise the Rm500 E-Voucher (Rm461.30 + Rm37.60 = Rm498.90)

And plus another Rm185 due from Shopback for cashback

Any idea how long Shopback takes to track the cashback?
*
Take about 1-2 days to get notified that your purchase is tracked, but about 3 months until they credit to you.

How sad it is ... we are in poor country but have to pay more. But in SG, they are rich and pay less to get same phone. Something is wrong.  ranting.gif
*
Samsung SG process trade in differently than Samsung MY. Samsung MY reflect just the RM650 trade in bonus without include actual device trade in value during checkout; where Samsung SG seems to process the trade in themselves and include the total trade in (bonus + value) during checkout. Means if you decided not to trade in to Samsung SG, you will need to pay up for the difference in trade in.

Delivery and store pick up, which one is better?
*
People said store pick up is better, as you get to inspect your phone right at the store and if found any defect you can directly file for warranty claim. Downside is that store employee seems always slow in notifying customer when their order arrived. So may get delay a few days.

Delivery is the fastest since it comes straight to you. But the downside is that your package may just get left outside when no one is home or may get toss at.

1. Senheng has their own trade in also if you check https://www.senheng.com.my/trade-in-rebate
2. There is RM400 which if you physically visit them, they will manually key it in (Their online website also able to claim this RM400, too)
3. They give Free Galaxy buds2Pro
4. This one cannot deny  tongue.gif
5. Plus One member get additional 1 year warranty by Senheng
6. Plus One member gets 2% coinback
*
If buy from Samsung Online you can get 1% Samsung Reward + 3.5% ShopBack = 4.5% back vs 2% from Senheng

I did some calculation so hopefully is helpful for you. Just choose “Price after discount" and then plus whichever "Set" you throw in as add-on (or choose your own), and you will get that total and should be the same for everyone. The question about seeing a very low base price such as RM4,787.70 is because Samsung didn't include SC+ 2Yr in the price, so if you add that back you should get the same "Price after discount"

how you all got so much point

I thought the point will expire

and only getting 10, 20 or 40 points for each samsung pay transaction hmm.gif
*
Just keep using it, and the point to RM is as below.

Point RM
10 RM0.30
20 RM0.60
40 RM1.20

To be honest, that 40 points is actually very generous.

May I know how to use shopback payment? If i use shopback still can pay by instalment?
*
ShopBack acted as a browser, and it will redirect you to the Samsung website. Everything else should be the same as you get from any web browser. Not sure if Samsung let you do installment when checkout but usually you have to contact your CC bank to set that up. (I could be wrong on this)

Hi Guys , thinking of getting the S24U

For the Trade-in option . am i obligates to send my previous phone if i choose this option? Or can just fill in the require IMEI number is fine?
*
To avail the RM650/RM450 trade in bonus, even if you have nothing to trade in (e.g. buying your first smartphone in life), just choose "Apple iPad Wi-Fi 16GB", and when ask for IMEI just put in "00000 00000 00000", answer "Yes" to all condition, then you are good to go. When CompAsia contact you, just make up any reason to cancel the trade in, you will still be getting the trade in bonus from Samsung.

1 x Samsung Care+ 2 Year Device Protection and Extend Warranty…  does the "Extend Warranty" means 3 years warranty in total? (2 years + 1 year)
*
Standard Manufacturer Warranty 1 Year
Add SC+ 1 Year @ RM258.30 SMW 1 Year + SC+ 1 Year
Add SC+ 2 Year Extended Warranty @ RM461.30 SMW 2 Year + SC+ 2 Year

Hi Sifus, wanna ask about early bird RM400 voucher validity. Is there any deadline for the voucher to be used? I saw the email written "while stock last," but I can't find the related T&C to see first nth customer to redeem it.

I am actually waiting for another approval credit card in a week or longer, but I think I might not make the cut.

So this is the one "While stock last."

Not sure if referring to phone or voucher availability.
*
You should be able to use your ROI code until the pre-order offer ends. I did mine during S23U and able to use my ROI on the last day of promotion.

Sharing this here again for anyone still looking to get that best base price. Also, ShopBack just increased their rebate on Galaxy S category from 3.5% to 4%, historical highest rate during S23 Series was at 5.5%.

Should be able to if you are able to get to EPP site through ShopBack. Nothing to lose too if end up it didn't capture that.

I just found that you can actually use that RM500 e-Voucher on Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and make it become just RM49. It will not shows in the available accessories through normal pre-order steps, so you will have to add it manually. This may be true to other accessories not in the pre-order steps but I have yet to test it out.

Anyone know why I am getting this ?

Firstly - I am trying to trade in a Samsung A7 tablet . Initially it says it's accepted (valid serial number etc) then after I apply trade in - in the pre-checkout page it does NOT get reflected.

Then when I manually ADD the trade in - I go through the same process again - and this time it's valid again but it hits this error .

Can someone pls advise

Thx
*
Seems like Samsung has stop accepting trade in device without a SimCard (e.g. tablet, watch). But you can still input with your current smartphone's IMEI to get the trade in bonus.

I have no access to EPP site but you can try to add it by going into Galaxy Buds section.

No need to login. Just go to top right corner where you need to login and click Order. Then just put in Order No. and associated email.

Guys want to ask. Those who trade in, and arrange a pickup, how will they check the phone to determine the final price?

Got an email to schedule the trade in, rider pickup, but I dont know how will they check. Because I dont want to trade in if they lowball their offer.
*
They will arrange a meetup to pick up the device from you. When you guys meet he will inspect the device in front of you and offer a final trade in price. Then you can decide whether to accept the offer or denied it.

This is same to all previous Note Series and S Series with SPen. The "defect" here is not permanent.

We must first register an employee address, right?
*
You can either signup as student EPP with any .edu.my email or as an employee whose company has some kind of corporate program with Samsung to get this EPP price.

QUOTE(KoYuKii @ Jan 21 2024, 12:34 AM)
very hard to decide, 256gb or 512gb ?

curently using 128gb rom of phone
*
The higher the better.

According to Samsung HK, the available storage for each device is as below.

Device 256 GB 512 GB 1 TB
S24 Ultra 229.0 GB 481.5 GB 986.8 GB
S24+ 229.5 GB 482.0 GB -
S24 229.5 GB 482.0 GB -

However, these number doesn't seems to account for the initial system file yet. On my S23U 512GB model, initial storage capacity is 11% used after setup using no simcard and no wifi (about 58GB out of 512GB, or more accurately, about 23GB system file out of actual 477GB used). After a factory reset, storage capacity is 10% used after setup using no simcard and no wifi (about 56GB out of 512GB, or more accurately, about 21GB system file out of actual 477GB used)

Also, you need to account for the R/W cycle of NAND lifespan. Basically more storage equal to more R/W cycle. The moment your NAND reach EOL, there is nothing you can do and you will lost all your data. Even physically replace with a new NAND module will still require to reinstall all OS system again.

QUOTE(Spawny @ Jan 21 2024, 12:44 AM)
How does the trade in actually work? My wife has a S22 Ultra and wants to trade in, and then i saw there is a promo up to RM650 extra on top of the trade in value, so how much exactly can the S22 Ultra trade for?
*
Trade in with Samsung (Malaysia only) works like this. You get an estimated trade in value of your device + a trade in bonus RM650/RM450 depends on which S24 model you choose. During checkout, only the trade in bonus will be accounted for. Your actual device trade in will be handle by CompAsia (Samsung partnered 3rd party for device recycling), where they will contact you, meet with you, inspect your device, and give a final trade in value. You may accept the offer where they will take the device and verify your bank in detail for the payment later, or deny the offer where you keep your device and that's it.
