I still have half kilo of pure honey that was harvested 12 years ago, personally at the harvested site. Still in perfect condition, in liquid form, no crystalisation, smells same as day one.

QUOTE(Azran1979 @ Jan 6 2024, 02:47 PM) Madu asli - to show that it's original with nothing added. Source of honey is unknown.Madu Tualang - the bee make their home on Tualang tree. Very tall tree and difficult to get. Madu kelulut - honey from kelulut. Not bee. Kelulut is very small flying insect that gather nectar like bee. The taste is a bit different. It's an acquired taste. Not many people love it. Normally honey name is assicuated with plalce / where the nectar come from. For eample NZ Manuka Honey - the nectar is from Manuka flower andd the bee exclusively gather the nectar from this tree and Manuka tree native to New Zealand. Just to be on the safe side, do be careful of the risk of botulism in honey. That’s why never give honey to babies

QUOTE(vhs1 @ Jan 6 2024, 12:42 PM) Those are sugar loaded ones. Real honey still attracts ants. And many people happily buy those so called kampung honey filled up in bottles without proper processing is taking a risk of killing them along the way. |

it is still sugar. beware
Honey contains mostly sugar, as well as a mix of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, iron, zinc and antioxidants. In addition to its use as a natural sweetener, honey is used as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial agent. People commonly use honey orally to treat coughs and topically to treat burns and promote wound healing. https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplement...ey/art-20363819 |
