Does volume traded matters? Like, need to buy 1000 lots of 100 shares in order to get such profits? Because I only traded 1 lot and can never get 200K profit.

Absolutely. Don't trade on illiquid stocks, unless you are planning for super long term.

So you mean you invested 400K and earned 200K from it?

Few questions I will ask myself :
1. Is the stock big enough? I mostly only trade counters with market cap > 500M
2. Is the company healthy? I don't dare to touch those PN17 thingy.
3. Are they dividend paying company? Some companies only able to see profit on paper but never have the cash flow to pay the shareholders.
4. Price action. Only the big fish can move the price, I will wait them to take the first move.

No, I don't invest overseas. I don't have enough details on overseas companies to make good decisions.

Most of the time, not in batches. I want to make sure the counter is liquid enough for me to run if I wanted to.

As of today, YTLP is at 320%, YTL at 150%.

Regret a little bit as i started selling ytlp at 1.20

Starting capital RM400K, but when profit starts to roll, I have more capital to deploy. And yes, RM200K profit from RM400K initial capital.

Watch out for daily top traded counters in terms of value, and top 30 gainers to get a list of what you wanna aim for next.

Just to add to your thread. I find alot of malaysians on reddit and lyn, fb etc, they HATE KLSE...which is really stupid. they keep talking about markets like US as if its god tier for investing. But there are alot of gems in KLSE. High dividen, low PE, 5 star companies that makes millions in profits every year but are undervalued because all the foreign funds have left Malaysia.

we are at 1460 roughly...thats the same as COVID level in 2020, the foreign funds have not returned and KLSE is very undervalued.

tldr dont dismiss the KLSE as a source of safe, high dividen investing

I suggest you take out a small sum to try it for real. Make sure its a sum which you can afford to lose. Treat it as lesson fee. We need to learn from experience, unfortunately.

NEVER EVER TRADE PENNY STOCKS in bursa. u will end up parking ur money for years sometimes with depreciating paper value

I can't give you any suggestion, because every individual preference also different. Some can take more risk, while some prefer slow but steady.

good thing bout KLSE is, it follows our sleeping schedule kek

Start with a small sum first. I suggest you look into klsescreener. Maybe can follow some discussions inside.

if u want to trade only shariah-compliant stocks, mplus. if u want to trade all including haram stock, other brokers can. just that some charge u rm8 brokerage. some rm40 brokerage

I beg to differ. To certain extent, yes if you are trading some bad fundamental stock.if you are buying good quality companies with dividend paying, everyone win.

Thats the thing...we arnt in a bull market, we are in a extended bear market, KLSE has traded flatish since covid 2020.

Unless you go into options then it turns into gambling

Basically if something youre investing seems to create value out of thin air, then its zero sum game

Yes, i donate to various charity organisation from time to time, buddhist temple to old folks home. I do even participate in the activity visiting the elderly care home and etc. I constantly remind myself who needs the money too

we don't need to go till so far, if you buy YTL/YTLP mid of last year, you already 4x 5x now.

Yes, i prefer nothing more than 5 stocks at one time. I need to read up their news, chart, announcement every day. So I prefer to be able to focus. Trading a stock is like taking care of a small flower need focus and attention.
