if done right, there are huge benefits for the country. a bit big brother, but i believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

we need to start somewhere, i think this is a good start. and we have a lot of catch up to do compared to other countries.

big picture for them right now is subsidy rationalization

some subsidies are going bye bye soon, no running away. think of this database as a way of applying for some extra cash to replace those subsidies. ADUN need to turun padang for those in the rural areas.

some of my friends are not registering too lol.

i think only got loans and insurance

* elderly who don't know about the internet
* those with low levels of education, and don;t use the internet
* rural people who don't have internet coverage
-- probably need ADUN or local grassroots to be involved here

* hawker stall holder ( small businesses) who don't drive a Mercedes
-- if underdeclare nanti LHDN officer camping in front of the stall kira your daily customers baru tau lol

* part time/casual worker
-- same like filing income tax lor, no EA form just fill in last 12 months total income then divide by 12. there is a self employed income section.

same like BRIM, STR, and whatever aid before this.

ADUN and their people were the ones helping a lot of my older friends to register.

Yes should have done this after mydigitalid rollout.

bad but not really that bad la, it is not even the full database, it is like a form for you to key in some stuff.

OTOH, they really should do this after rolling out mydigitalid to everyone. less headache for them, why is lapiji rushing this through?

no la not that bad, although you can screw around with your koliks, but i don't think you can do much harm other than forcing him to jump through some hoops to do a password reset.

So far ok la. Scam call also got before this. No increase (touch wood), no decrease.

Developed in house by civil servants. I see a few places they set up booths to help people register. Or can try approach your local assemblyman.
