Good shot on S3..

Very strong jpeg artifacts. Use ISO80.

you too noticed the moon is very bright yesterday huh ?

i was about to sleep, then i looked on sky on the windows, it was like dawn, then i went out and see the moon, wow, super bright..
but not taking out my s3 because too tired already..

with only 12x zoom, cant really get big moon,

nice shot with S3is though !!

he crop and zoomed the moon, maybe that's why ?

Nope. It's either the ISO or he's not using fine jpeg. I've shot moon with S3 before, it can be much better.

i see, anyway the moon is bright again now..

Added on October 28, 2007, 2:27 amI guess it is not the ISO problem, i took at ISO 80 and ISO 100, no visible difference..
i think it should be the jpg compression..



played with white balance settings

Your moon is over exposed. Use Spot Metering.

i used photoimpact for cropping, maybe too much compression after saving (just 44KB) makes artifact Next time i'll care about that
