Realme GT5 Pro using SD8 Gen 3, i think shouldn't be a problem when Realme Malaysia is the company bringing it in, they must have tested everything 1st before bringing it in..  hmm.gif

But i do find it weird having a higher grade chipset compared to my Poco F5 but the band support is lesser.. Different radio chip i guess.. hmm.gif

Is according to licensing deals with qualcomm

In 2022/2023MY models xiaomi china models has less band support to save on licensing cost, and global models got some mark up of price due to more band support (higher licensing cost)

This was finally rectified by late 2023 with 2024MY xiaomi 14/k70 series

Note: MY=model year, xiaomi flagship launch on late year but meant for following MY (xiaomi 12: 2022MY, xiaomi 13: 2023MY, xiaomi 14: 2024MY)

For other manufacturers they paid more for licensing cost for most of their models

For now DNB 5g just needs LTE B28A and NR N78, but in the future when standalone (SA) network will be deployed, all china 5g phones will be eventually supported
