Anyone with experience can recommend a good brand for quick charge cable?

My parent's phones, Samsung A10 started giving slow charging message. If I use my Huawei cable on it, it can charge in 2hr+ as usual but the original Samsung cable takes 3hr+, sometimes more. I guess Samsung gave something substandard because my Huawei cable is even older but still going strong.

So I bought an "original" Samsung cable online for about rm7, the wire looks skinny. It worked fine but after a few charges, cannot already. Now it says take 8 hours lol

Then I ordered one from UGreen for about rm5 but the delivery too long. After more than a week still not packed so I cancelled.

Then I bought one from Mr.DIY, also around rm5. Build quality looks good from the outside, and the cable looks much thicker than even the ori, although I don't know how much is the copper and how much is the insulation. It worked fine for awhile but apparently not lasting as well.

I saw in phone accessory shop unknown brand also close to rm30... I will be seriously unhappy if i spent that and it went the same way as the other two I tried.

Would appreciate any recommendation and advice

ugreen u need to check ship from local or china. got certain cable stock from local very fast 1-3 days. china about 10 days if normal shipping if kiam siap ocean ship takes 3-4 weeks.

My top choices currently are Ugreen, Baseus, Rocoren

U may also need to check is ur parents using original Samsung charger? check the watt coz A10 supports fast charge a simple 20W and above fast charger would work

I have provided cables fail so I wouldn't be suprised if the cable that came with the charger has failed

the "original" rm7 cable was probably not original...

ugreen would have been fine but depending on what you picked some are local stock some are overseas stock

phone stores... I'm not exactly a big fan of the stuff they sell but the stuff like mcdodo/remax may be fine.....

personally I would get Ugreen/Vention/Baseus/Orico from online
but if you go for Ugreen, I would say to pay extra for the braided/metal version...
I had a few of their cheap basic pvc ones fail

My samsung cable that come with box still working fine with super fast charge working, but a bit loosen as plugged in cannot feel

It won't take that long. Did you buy from UGreen Official shop in Shoopee Mall/Lazada Mall? Never buy from other shop.

I did buy from the official store. As I recall when I placed the order it said fulfilled by lazada but somehow after a few days it was still pending in China. I bumped them in the chat a few times and they said packing now but still nothing for over a week until my patience ran out lol... I should probably check again when its off-peak

There are many scam with "Official" in the shop name. Only the shop in the Lazada Mall or Shopee Mall that with the Official in the shop name is the real one. Of course if you are unlucky it could be slow with real official store too.

Yes still using original charger, just the cable phucked. It charges fine with my Huawei charger/cable combo too.


It was the Lazmall so I figured its not one of those scam ones. As it turns out, Now I found they have another Lazmall store under "UGREEN MALAYSIA", those stuff will ship locally and I guess will be faster even without the packing problem.

I'll probably order after the new year, will see if there's anything new here I need to take note of

Yap, I bought from the official store last time around. It was supposed to be ship from local warehouse but in the end got routed to China. This time will get from the Malaysia store.


I looked around, it costs a lot more and it seems like all they have is USB-C. Unfortunately I need Micro USB, and I won't need it to last forever since future devices will be USB-C. Looks like Ugreen is the best choice.
