Anyone here tried to compare Toyota insurance package with other car insurance?

Got brand new veloz. Wondering if the Toyota insurance package is worth it or not. Ads look good.

all named/ unnamed driver
disaster
towing distance
panel workshops
agree value market value

I know Honda Insurance Package provides 10 years warranty on insurance claim and they will use new original Honda parts.

I suppose Toyota will offer the same thing but you can try checking on this.

Normal car insurance, if involved in a collision, they will on use new original parts for cars that are not more than 5 years old. Beyond that, all taiwanor the cheapest parts will be use for repair.

Pay so much more... if you want original parts, remember to add Betterment on the 4th/5th year onwards.

Better comes from the 6th year onwards.

It is up to individuals preference. Some will opt for the cheapest, some for the coverage.

For me, I will go for Honda or Toyota Insurance package.

Yes that I have heard of. Weird I read somewhere or heard someone say that Toyota Insurance does not offer insurance on their Hilux despite being their own model. Can anyone verify this ?

Toyota is just like an agent to sell insurance. Their principal can be any general insurance provider in Malaysia.
Whether the general insurance want to accept the risk to provide the insurance coverage or not, depends on the individual/company past track records.
If the company has had a few past claims of their vehicles stolen/total lost, you as the insurance provider dare to provide coverage for theft and total lost?
If the buyer has 30 years of driving experiences, had never claimed even windscreen replacement/accident, he wanna buy what car the insurer also will cover.

I don't know if Toyota insurance cover Hilux but Hilux is a car thief magnet. Insurance refuse to cover high risk policy is not unheard of.

OK now I understand, Toyota is just an agent. I was under the impression that Toyota is directly in the insurance business as well. Patut la I just received a message from Toyota asking whether I would like to renew my insurance but quotes were from other insurance companies instead. Thanks mate.

Had no idea they look into past records. No wonder got feeling macam want sell me everything under the sun aje. 🙂

Take a look at your car insurance policy, you'll know which insurance you bought for your car.
Those who always claim for accidents, you'll also noticed their premium also higher, regardless of NCD.

Btw. If u buy from honda or Toyota then towing only free to tow into service centre else need to pay rm350

I think the biggest attraction is the up to 12 years no betterment charges and the quick claim approval.

There are a few insurance provider to choose from for Toyota insurance package.

But for my new Toyota vehicle I purchase myself via the insurance website to get 10% discount since most insurance provider already has no betterment charges up to 5 years (different provider may differ on this). Maybe on the 6th year of ownership onwards i may consider renewing with Toyota

What is "No betterment charge for up to 12 years"? Does other insurances ("AIG, Takaful, P&O) got this too?
