I’m using the Apple Leather Case and I find that the patina is really bad. Been using it for a year. But I do love how it feels on my hand, except that it looks really horrible now, luckily mine is a dark coloured one.

How about you? What’s your thought?

Leather after long used will wear and tear, this is normal.

Too bad Apple no longer release leather case. I kind of miss it actually as Apple released quality leather case.

Quality is doubtful, especially I used Nomad for previous model and it was much better than this. This looks like plasticky. But oh well, I don’t think I’m gonna splurge on another case since my phone is already 1 year plus.

Apple leather cases for iphone 11 series and below are pretty good actually. They show nice patina along the way. However, starting from iphone 12 and above, they applied some sort of coating (i forgot the name) on top the leather so the patina wont be the same as before, and wont be as good.

If you have iphone 12 and above, I'd suggest to avoid apple leather/finewoven case. If you like leather better get nomad or belkin cases.

In my opinion, any leather case will wear out in time. Doesnt matter which brand. Its not 100% real leather.

Get plastic hard case such as Ringke which im using for almost 2 years now. Still looks good.

I have an old Apple leather case for my dual sim Apple iPhone 14 Pro but I bet used it much as I felt it was too thick for me.
