Can someone remind me why iilya's heart and shinji was needed for holy grail summoning?

as why he take the heart,not liver,ovary or lung maybe because the heart contain the grail.

Ilya's heart is the core for the Grail to manifest itself hence Gilgamesh decision to rip it out of her chest. Shinji have low level magus ability thanks to his years of scouring the forbidden books of Matoh family and can be used as backup plan for summoning the Grail after Gilgamesh failed to acquire Rin for this purpose.

Ilya was a homunculus designed specifically by Einzbern clan for the Grail to materialize in real world.

Yeap, the fish scene did not make sense to me and the movie made one crucial mistake, Rin saw Shirou keep jumping the high jump when they both were very young, not high school as shown.

Madhouse or Bones would definitely be good. But to be honest, I'd rather have JC Staff do it. Their animation style seems to be more suitable to FSN's setting. When I look at Shana/Index/Railgun, I silently wished that the FSN TV looked that good.

So technically only Ilya can materialise the grail regardless of who wins the Holy War? 
And all this is explained where? Did the game make it explicitly clear about this or is this one of Nasu's extra notes thing? Definately not in the movie and the wikipedia. lol.

As for the movie i don't know how they translated it over from the game but it did seem like it got everything from the game (based on watever i read online since i didn't actually played the game) complete with the plot holes and stuff that they expect you to know from the other arcs not in the UBW arc.

Hardcore fans are hard to please. A lot of my casual (non TYPE-MOON fans) anime friends enjoyed the UBW movie. The pacing is good, action scenes is dynamic, great music and interesting anti-hero (Archer).

However if you read the visual novel, you will nitpick the movie to death and in the end, you won't enjoy it out of sheer nerd rage. Simple.

Hence my choice of words: normal anime fans.

As a longtime fan of Nasu, UBW is kinda story that demands a minimum of 2 movie adaptation. Then it will make a lot of sense. The UBW movie, as you pointed out, leaves a lot of detail behind and viewers who seek something more will often stumble. But as an action anime movie, it did pretty well. Essentially the studio uses Micheal Bay formula, plot inconsistency being covered by action, hot chicks and more explosions. (Transformers, 2009/2010)

Just watched UBW first part with English subs.

I was happy when Ilya died. No more loli.
