Hi,
We have Honda City 2014 with now defective reverse sensor. Honda quoted it for 1k which I think is too much.
Any idea on how much to replace these sensors?
Any shop recommendations Cyberjaya/Dengkil/Puchong south area? Or some home service repair guys that can replace and fix?
Thank You

Try spraying wd40 or contact cleaner. May be just dirt stuck on sensor.

what kind of "defect(s)" is there? No beep? Slow response? No voice (yes, some will talk)? No display?

SC wanted to charge for new set of sensors. Lucky tried spraying WD40 or contact cleaner and sensor worked fine.

If your sensor is good, when it is activated (in reverse gear without engine on; your reverse light should be on too) your finger should be able to feel tiny/minute vibrate or can hear very tiny vibrate sound. If unsure, use Stethoscope to listen to each of the sensor to find out which one is gg.com

My friend's 2014 city has this sensor issue too, he tested and found one of the sensor is faulty, went to accessory shop to have the wiring to the sensor removed and only rely on the remaining 3 sensor now...
I think can also replace with the shopee sensor if you can find matching color...

I've heard a lot of issues with this specific car model.

Typical defection of honda car, recently by sensor is having issues.when try asking honda driver friend where to get fair price spare part, surprisingly most of them has this problem before. And weird thing is that none of them going to repair it...

Civic and jazz also frequently having problem, 2018 civic and 2020 civic also facing exactly same issue. Honda reverse sensor is defective and surprisingly after 5 years they never improve it.
