Price : RM 21.50 2 piece Meal

Description : 2 piece chicken meal with whipped potato, coleslaw and drink of choice.

Review : This is another limited item from KFC. sometime ago they had a similar Thai themed item called Tom Yum Crunch & then later Spicy Sawadee Crunch. Both of these was quite good. And with flavours that reflects the theme of the product.

But this San Thai Crunch however is not good at all. The seasoning does not reflect Thai in any way. What is this supposed to replicate? Tom Yum Crunch had tom yum seasoning in the batter. You could taste it has Tom Yum flavoring inside, even if it is the powdered version. the Sawadee Crunch had lots of dry rub seasoning on top and heavy on Ginger flower flavour.

But this San-Thai is bad. The batter crunch is there. But it does not have any special distinct flavour at all. Its not sour/ tangy or have any sharp spices flavour typically found in Thai food at all. I do not know why it taste like road side fried chicken. in fact Uncle Jack & Uncle Bob would probably win this showdown! This is another disappointing KFC product after that Surf & Turf burger thing.

They are asking above RM20 for this. And if its limited, it has to stand out. But this meal didn't do anything for me at all.

Verdict : 1 out of 5 ⭐. This is not a good item. The seasoning failed it completely. Would not recommend it. Get the Double Down combo meal if you want to eat KFC.

to be honest, all KFC special season flavor sucks.
all just overly salty.
plain old standard ori/spicy always the best.
there's only 1 special limited fried chicken that i think is better than ori/spicy, which is the truffle fried chicken.
this also very subjected cuz no every1 likes smell of truffle.
