If wife constantly threaten to go court to dissolve marriage SOLELY because of her salary is higher than the husband, if I'm in that position, I don't think I would hesitate to let her proceed & let her take the responsibility.

No point forcing a person to stay on, definitely better for the husband anyway IMHO
