Hi all,
I tried Google but there is no specific answer/date Does anyone here know SST is now 6% or 8%? 10% start when? Planning to buy new transport for my family. Motorcycle/car before 2024 |

All cars already subjected to 10% Sales Tax and Motorcycles are always Sales Tax exempted. So the increase doesnt affect both cars and moto. Colinlim75 liked this post

The proposed increase in service tax rate to 8% with effect from 1 March 2024, will not apply to food and beverages, telecommunication services, vehicle parking space services, and logistics services which are considered essential services.

Sellers just act bodoh and charge ...only when Malaysian start to show PDF sort ....they dial diam minus for you but goes on charging the others...

Our current SST is a 6/10% scheme, where 6% is common for retails and 10% on upstream.
Up next it’ll bbe come 6/8/10%, where f&b remain as 6% and other retail/services get increased to 8%, those originally 10% will retain as 10%. |
