Could someone clarify the distinctions between investing through a remisier in Malaysia versus investing directly with a Participating Dealer (PD), also known as a broker? I've heard that investing directly with a PD may require a significant capital, whereas with a remisier, you can start with a lower amount. Additionally, what are the differences between opening an account at Bursa and investing independently with a lower entry? Isn't opening your own account at Bursa also a form of investing through your preferred broker? How does this differ from dealing with a PD, considering both also require a CDS account? I find this aspect quite confusing and would appreciate some clarification.

Remiser is someone who "supposedly advise you" or can trade-in your behalf. Sorry la. I don't like remiser and find them useless as I don't trade. Everything I DIY. If you ask them to trade or buy or sell for you you pay more. Simple lo. Stuff which you can DIY online.

Not true. So many broker let you open without remiser nowadays. Mplus, affin hwang.

Remisier is basically just a sales agent who work with brokerage itself 🤦‍♀️ which is PD is brokerage

These days no one uses remisier 🤦‍♀️ unless you are moving huge sums of money and wants anonymity because remisier could use other accounts to trade on behalf

Nothing to be confuse as only PD is authorised to trade legibly on Bursa while remisier are not and have to use PD to trade legibly
