I don't know the reason. But then, its their money. They are free to donate it to any hospital they wish.

I think this is one of the main reason. Since the hospital is not-for-profit. Donations is extremely important to keep the hospital ongoing.

Hope the hospital will make good use of the money donated!!

I don't know if its enough but hopefully it could help them to expand.
