In time for 2024 US election. It's been awhile seeing Kristen Dunst headlining a movie. Fingers crossed this is anything near to 28 Days quality. I wasn't enamored by Garland's Men, but his filmography still something to behold.
Here are some Hollywood movies I'm looking forward to: 1. Joker : Folie à Deux - Sequel to Joaquin's Joker with Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. 2. Furiosa. 3. Alien : Romulus - Yes there's a new xenomorph movie by Fede Alvarez. Ridley Scott gave his blessing after watching the rough cut. 4. Nosferatu - Robert Egger directing William Dafoe as the classic bloodsucker. 5. Mickey 17 - Bong Joon-ho next sci-fi movie with Robert Pattinson.
Can't wait to see what breakout Indies from Sundance and Cannes. Glad it's not dominated by cringed mouse house outputs.

Next year more or less be the same as this year. The writer and actor strikes basically forced studios to delay their releases. Meaning they don't have enough movies to fill the release window or still clearing movies shot during the year 22 and 23.
Walt Disney now course correcting the shit show done by Bob Chapek. WB's Zaslav is reinventing the core business of the movie and TV division. So be prepared 2025 to be a very stacked year with all the MCU and DC big budget movies flooding the market. MI, Spider-verse, and Avatar will be there as well.
A24 to produce larger budget productions after they secured substantial funding from Wall Street. Hence Civil War doesn't look like anything from their wheelhouse. So do get a sense 2025 is where things truly went back to pre-covid condition.
