For beginners, u have 2 of the best choice - Canon 350D or Nikon D40.. look no further than that. Both fall below RM2k, for brand new.

for reviews/opinions, there shud be lots of threads in lyn ady discussing this matters. cheers!

350D, below 2k for a brand new one is really cheap. Go for that if u wanna expand your equipments in the future

This is a minor suggestion.

go for d40 is you are planning to go to the dark side... so its actually your choice... the 350d and d40 is actually two good cameras having its pros and cons...

but Sony brand new not less than RM2k lar... out of the list

From what I've read it's the pentax default color reproduction settings. This can be easily corrected by either shooting in RAW or increase the contrast and sharpness. But pentax has lens issues later due to the small market here.
