I can't decide between 12 and 12R. Anyone tried both phones? Trying to see if can get some feedback here.

My usage on phones is pretty normal. Usually I just scroll FB, Insta, browsing sites, play games which are not resource intensive. I seldom take photos/videos, just occasionally.

I was planning to get 12R from fastechlim, but then I saw that 12 is only RM 1k more. With RM 1k more, I get better camera system and SD8G3. It's nice to get a better processor. Although I don't use resource intensive apps/games, but I guess with a better processor the phone should perform smoothly even after 3-4 years.

Camera wise, of course nice to have a better camera, but not sure how much I will use it or appreciate it lol

Any other pros of the 12 compared to 12R besides the camera and processor that I should consider?

IMHO better get the newer processor since it will help in the optimization that will have longer batt

Both are totally different phones. The 12R is the budget version. The 12R does not comes with the bells and whistles like the 12 does but the price does make makes a difference. One thing to note the 12R does not comes with wireless charging and a slightly lesser IPV rating.

Can anyone with CN set confirm whether the phone has esim or not?

just got my new 1+12 with global rom from fastech lim....tested the phone..it seem that i cant get 5g but volte wowifi work fine...use celcom.....am i the only one have this issue? could be simcard issue or apn setting or other else?

already check phone was region unlock..

U didnt test at the shop for the 5G?
also before this 5G work fine?

it should support out of the box since it does support Malaysia 5G band and Fastech did show in FB that 5G works but not sure if it is ColorOS or Oxygen
better ask them again on the issue

No need to change APN, sim card before this working with 5G?
also do the phone support esim? if so try with esim first for 5G

5g celcom work before my other vivo phone....

maybe i need to test further 5g at other area..since i was testing it at my home...

there is esim setting under mobile network setting..guess esim is supported...

how long it takes from order till you get the phone?

So with oxygen os it will enable esim?
I think the CN set only supports 2 Sims

Anyway do test it out the 5g and get back to us the results

i did test with my other unifi simcard 5g work well

then i did reinsert back the celcom simcard suddenly 5g work well...

guess 5g issue solved...not the phone issue

by the way op12 is quite a bit heavy for me..not really issue though..

Am actually considering Xiaomi 14 and OnePlus 12 as replacement for my OnePlus 7T. Like the size of Xiaomi 14 but afraid of the bloateare and software issues with the new HyperOS.

Oh the other hand OnePlus 12 is quite huge and heavy. Even I do feel 7T is quite heavy after holding for a while

xiaomi better get the global version since cn one may have late notification etc
not sure how heavy is 1+ 12 since i cant find any display set even at oppo shop

Same here. My 7T just kong few days ago and given to fastech hopefully he can save it. Considering between op12 xiaomi14 or s23 ultra currently.
