Use Wise as BigPay currently has a lot of charges that makes it not worth it,

Wise as it is transparent, the conversion rates and fees are shown.

the soon coming GX Bank debit card is also a good card to use, just get an account now and sign up for the card when it launches.

just register for both
both got advantage, can be flexible. but wise is suitable for overseas travelling

in the sense of overseas online purchase e.g. amazon, sometimes wise is better while sometimes bigpay is better. this is because bigpay has a pretty uncertain exchange rate (it doesn't exactly follow market rate and can charge u higher than the exchange rate), but wise follows the exchange rate something like hourly, though while imposing an additional conversion fee.

went SA recently and the rate is really good when compared to normal money exchange.

money exchange R100 = RM28
wise rate R100 = RM25

Wise allow you to open multiple foreign currency account

Just open one for HKD and convert your MYR to HKD

But I'm not sure if leaving it as MYR would work also, maybe it will auto convert when you use

Wise all the way. You can even withdraw money from certain ATMs without ATM fees (RM1000 limit) . In Germany it was sparkasse. Other country you need to do research

If you put ringgit, it will auto convert when you use it in HK (follow the latest rate).

Or if you think the rate is good now, you can convert it to HKD first before going to HK (lock the current rate).

wise so far the best in terms of transparency and ease of use

if you are an iphone user u can straight away use the digital card for apple pay. no need to wait for a physical card to be sent to you

BP impose charges for top up using credit card.
Also, wise can put in apple wallet and google wallet. Quite convenient

Wise is better to use but when it comes to topup, bigpay win.

Don't need to talk about cc because wise don't support cc

But bigpay got duitnow transfer. Wise have to use FPX

Or can transfer to Morgan bank or something but takes time to reflect. Only FPX is instant.

Wise u can store foreign exchange when it's low..i.e. did save alot of jpy but still haven't spend it, air tix macam yahudi RM 3k+ if travel in next two weeks.

Used to love bigpay as reload thru credit card without charges, now charge 1 percent everytime if CC, beat the purpose of me using it as 'e-wallet' kind last time, still keeping it for occasional travel overseas and insurance monthly premium deduction

Just open one for HKD and convert your MYR to HKD

But I'm not sure if leaving it as MYR would work also, maybe it will auto convert when you use

You can just leave it as MYR and it will auto convert at the current rate. As you see there is no TWD currency in WISE but it also can be used and converted to TWD when you use it in Taiwan locally.

Wise has reasonable rate, fast and secure.

Sucks that they dont support TWD though.

This is my experience with Wise.

Contactless 90%, if not 100%, of the time doesn't work when I was overseas.

To solve this issue, I put it into my Google Wallet instead and never wave my physical Wise card.

Some places cannot lepas. If ayam mistaken the shops must support Alipay+ (Alipay no plus cannot lepas).

Good thing about TnG ewallet is you can use it to pay BTS tickets at the kiosks.

top up using CC 1%

Cross border charge 1.5%

Go China kena pakai tng ewallet and alipay, china don't accept Visa/Master card.

Recommend to use alipay international, inside can link to Visa/Master debit/credit card, then in the apps can use Didi (Similar like Grab) and Hellobike (bicycle rental)

No harm download alipay app for backup, link it with visa/masterard.

Last time i know tngo ewallet cannot scan QR code, u have to ask merchant scan your phone, but now i heard the function of scanning using your phone is enable.

I heard wise if you go diff countries, you will need diff currency. I find bigpay better as I keep my money in myr n convert to which currency I need. I heard that for wise, once you buy yen, it keep yen, then you buy USD, if keep USD, etc.
