Use Wise as BigPay currently has a lot of charges that makes it not worth it, Wise as it is transparent, the conversion rates and fees are shown. the soon coming GX Bank debit card is also a good card to use, just get an account now and sign up for the card when it launches. sckham liked this post

just register for both both got advantage, can be flexible. but wise is suitable for overseas travelling in the sense of overseas online purchase e.g. amazon, sometimes wise is better while sometimes bigpay is better. this is because bigpay has a pretty uncertain exchange rate (it doesn't exactly follow market rate and can charge u higher than the exchange rate), but wise follows the exchange rate something like hourly, though while imposing an additional conversion fee. Wise have to use FPX Or can transfer to Morgan bank or something but takes time to reflect. Only FPX is instant. |

Wise u can store foreign exchange when it's low..i.e. did save alot of jpy but still haven't spend it, air tix macam yahudi RM 3k+ if travel in next two weeks.
Used to love bigpay as reload thru credit card without charges, now charge 1 percent everytime if CC, beat the purpose of me using it as 'e-wallet' kind last time, still keeping it for occasional travel overseas and insurance monthly premium deduction This post has been edited by AyamBlend: Dec 11 2023, 06:22 PM |

QUOTE(Gentleman_League @ Dec 12 2023, 10:06 AM) easy to manage thru app, simple and easy. just apply for the card, apply the card for RM15 or use digital card/apple pay. Physical card able to draw any cash at any atm for free (2times) and 3rd time will be some charges but its reasonable so do i need activate if i wanna use oversea? |

Maybe explore Wise or get a conventional bank credit card.
Can't recommend Bigpay, some retailers cant accept, I dont know the reasons. |

QUOTE(Raddus @ Dec 12 2023, 03:42 AM) This is my experience with Wise.Contactless 90%, if not 100%, of the time doesn't work when I was overseas. To solve this issue, I put it into my Google Wallet instead and never wave my physical Wise card. Ttbatdtptsm liked this post

QUOTE(craxy @ Dec 13 2023, 07:02 PM) Why not use TnG ewallet? They have alipay you can use in money countries. Good rate also for Thai Baht. QUOTE(sckham @ Dec 13 2023, 09:08 PM) Some places cannot lepas. If ayam mistaken the shops must support Alipay+ (Alipay no plus cannot lepas).Good thing about TnG ewallet is you can use it to pay BTS tickets at the kiosks. |

I heard wise if you go diff countries, you will need diff currency. I find bigpay better as I keep my money in myr n convert to which currency I need. I heard that for wise, once you buy yen, it keep yen, then you buy USD, if keep USD, etc.
