asics nimbus if you overpronate. Real comfy for long runs
*
You mean kayano ?

Nimbus is for neutral .

Overpronate you need support shoes such a kayano, there the rear outter sole is more firm to prevent your putter heel from pronating.

Understanding any brands product line is damn complicated.

Pronator go for kayano. There is a budget verson for pronators, gt2000 and even cheaper gt1000
*
Yes. For support go for kayano
Those runners with flatfoot can wear kayano too

Especially brands like ASICS they design every model with specific purpose. Even every line and stitching on the shoe have a purpose.

Nimbus - Under pronation
Kayano - Over pronation

Neutral 2 also can pakai.

To simple people, a running shoes is just a running shoes
Not knowing that good running shoe brands have different range for different fitment and feet types.

susah-susah just buy neutral shoes. if got pronation just change insole.

*
Do you know what makes a shoe specially designed for overpronate feet ?
It's not only about the insole.

Stability/support shoes is designed to prevent your ankle from rolling over when you run. The density and compound of the foam at the inner part of the heel is more firm, to prevent the ankle from pronating.
Tomorrow you go to ASICS shop look.for kayano and press that foam area. It's much firmer there.

Best is go to asics and get them to test your feet and recommend it.
*
No need to test

Just look at your existing running/ walking shoes

You'll able to tell from the pattern wear on the rubber sole

Whoa, TS like a casual runner and you all dive so deep into the weeds.

Anyhow if for TS profile going Asics, my pick would be the Novablast 3.

- With Novablast 4 coming in, there will be a discount.
- Great do it all shoe.
*
Novablast 4 is already in

Options for the same type of shoe as the Nimbus include the Nike Invincible and the New Balance More.
*
Nah. I'm not into brands such as Nike and Adidas.

Before anyone recommend any shoe brand or model to TS, first thing TS must tell or find out his feet is of which type.

If neutral then ok. Can wear almost any shoes

But if have pronating problem, better to get support shoes to prevent injuries and pain.

Beginner don't need those bouncy thick midsoles.
Want to splurge get nimbus, want to save can get lower ranger which are also very good in serving it's purpose like Gel excite or dynablast
*
Yeah
Beginner no need to get high end shoes

Most important for a beginner is to buy the correct shoes. Then start running consistently first, and learn the correct running technik, breathing, correct running form, pacing, etc.

When the person develop the commitment to run regularly then can think of getting good high end shoes.

Just bought my first ever pair of saucony when I went to their outlet few weeks back. It’s a hurricane 23.

Old model, as they have discontinued this series. Aiming for it as this model has been getting rave reviews for stability shoes. Not bad at all, support is good.
*
Where is this shop ?
I'm think of getting another pair of different brand.
I'm on ASICS all the time including my other sports shoes, including my futsal shoes.
Thinking of trying hoca or saucony.

Whoops, i mean supinate - looking at my older shoes, the soles wear out thin on the outer bottom (that's the opposite of pronate right?)

Neutral huh? let's see how it works out for me, to date, feel fine. The cushion takes some getting used to, but i went through more comfortable than i usually do for a 21
*
Yeah. Supinate

Foot type already found?
Then easy to know which type of shoes you need.
Me neutral type, so botted Pegasus 37 last Xmas still good until now because more walk than run.
*
Actually my left and right foot is slightly different

Right foot is neutral.
Left foot a bit of supinate. Because of the injury on my left ankle from futsal, level 3 sprain almost dislocated it.
