Hello all, would anyone happen to know where the Cobra alarm unit is located in a City 03/04? Trying to locate it to check connection

The alarm on our car seems to be half-malfunctioning - remote doesn't work (tried new batteries, different remote), but unlocking and opening the door with the key will trigger the alarm...

Hi Erik, thank you for that. But would you be referring to the code button/LED? That one I'm aware of, and I've been using that to disable the alarm.

I'm looking for the actual alarm control box, like the one indicated with an arrow in the pic below:-

I disassembled the lower dashboard and see only the fuse box and a mass of wires... but no sign of the control box. Even tracing the code button wires didn't help because it joins the other chassis wiring confused.gif :-

I think I found it... behind the centre console (behind the aircond controls) -

That's really super accessible... doh.gif sweat.gif

Well, for anyone who's wondering, there it is!

If we change the original Cobra unit to the "plug and play" version as in the video, how would the immobilizer be affected?

The current Cobra setup is if the alarm is disarmed (ie unlocked) after a period of time without starting the engine, the engine cannot be started unless: -

1) we press both the buttons on the remote controller unit simultaneously until the blinker red light stops; or

2) easier just close the door then arm (ie on) and disarm (if off) the alarm again.

Thanks for feedback.
