AWD you need change all 4 not 2 (Read your user manual book on tire replacement!). The most you can only do internal patch with add on rubber adhesive. If you buy 2 only, you will only accelerate the wear on differential gearing which may create some sound pitch or whirring sound when the gear worn down fast.

Another option buy 1pcs, find tire shop which can do treads shavings which reduce the treads thickness to match others.
This really need to ask those who do lorries retreads tyre or performance shop as some sport tires they will do this before competition.
