Exora should be replaced by Jiaji, however don't expect to be cheap like Exora, same price as Boyue or X70.

Geely has zero interest in developing below 60k cars. They don't have platform OR cheap cars for Proton to rebadge into new Saga.

This one nvm provided they give Proton RnD money to make new Saga, Persona and Exora. But nope, nothing at all. In few years Saga will be very obsolete, the platform around since 2005 Savvy. I don't know what will happen, maybe Malaysia will lose Proton Saga which is quite sad for me personally.

Echoing his comments, that S70 may bring fresh start for P1 to sell anything else besides SUV. I have news for him. I checked the Geely website, I did not see any other models that are sedan aside Emgrand. Their models are all SUV !!!!!!!

Older models like MPV Jiaji, for some unknown reason I think Geely has discontinued.

So unfortunately, P1 is gonna remain a SUV selling co.

P2 laugh all the way to the bank with no major competitors for non SUV models. Of course, P1 still has Persona and Saga but they are like frozen in development.

Exora is still lacking development.

Geely for some unknown reason is not bothered to assist P1 to improve on Saga and Exora, even though they have the expertise. Just the same as they still give P1 3 cylinder engines instead of the 4 cylinder ones.

Geely should test water launching some kei EV through potong for sub 80k.

So, anneh highly doubt next gen saga, persone will be fully r&d in house done by proton. Probably geely will supply the platform, engine, etc2 while the exterior maybe slight change from any existing model lineup across all geely owned brand.

As they already said msia market is fairly small and it doesnt make economical sense to fully built a car ground up in house proton.

S70 local assembled but launch local content must be very low if they say they hope to achieve 70% local content only in two years time.

Saga refresh 2026? Time is tight unless they already begin, only 24 months left. Even if redesign "top hat" from BMA is impossible, no way BMA can make 40k product. New engine from where Geely don't have 1.3 or 1.0 engines I don't think. It cannot be Campro VVT, they already announce EOL, so is it revival of Volcano and Magma projects? Or those two already completely shelved?

Because Perodua has been designing their own cars not just for Malaysia market but ASEAN market also. From Bezza starting already no longer just rebadging. New Axia new Vios all with huge involvement from Perodua. The cars also 90-95% local content made in Malaysia.

the new engine for saga will be 1.5 litre pair with CVT from geely. no turbo. Project already kick off. It is not full model change. 2 years is enough.

So not new platform then. Same Savvy platform. Why 1.5litre, that makes the Persona obsolete. Harder to compete with Axia/Bezza on price.
So dashboard from Boyue Pro/Azkarra? Or the minor facelift from Boyue 2022? Spyshots already out means not far, change to X90 and S70 grille.

Yeah if the trend continues, it’s a matter of time all of those you mentioned will be phased out & most likely replaced by other Geely models.
