Keep it disabled, WPA3 is only really needed for 6GHz, 2.4/5 still can use WPA/WPA2

You can 100% get your own router and get better performance, but still remember, you can’t expect a single router to cover like a like 5K sqft property, if your house is bigger, consider looking into WiFi mesh without running physical cables for access points. YMMV of course as mesh is still subjective to how your house is laid out
