recently i wanted to host l4d2 games with my friends so i went to set up port forwarding, i have public ip(confirmed with tm), but after i set it up the port is still closed

i contacted TM and they told me that i need to ask TM to open every port PLUS i can only open ONE port at a time.

does anyone why this is a thing lmao everyone that i asked said it shouldnt be a problem

What is your current plan? Care to login to your router and post the first 2 octet of your WAN IP address?

Your router model? 1st thing is make fix ip for your device which used for the games (MUST). Set this in your router.

Disable DMZ. At port fwd page select Internet for wan connection & put games server ip at configure originating ip.

Also allow incoming/outgoing connection for your games in your pc firewall setting.

i also contacted TM and they die die tell me that everyone needs to contact TM for port forwarding even with different routers, even though i have people telling me that they've never contacted TM for the matter
