actually the year end promo is just to compensate the car resale value. because in a month, ur new car will be considered as 1 yr old car in the 2nd hand market

Hi guys. I just want to ask. Can a stock 1.3 Myvi (Manual) reach 210km/h?
*
my logic tells me its impossible. its not a super aerodynamic car....air resistance of a standard street car will increase rapidly after speeds over 90kmh. thus at 210, air resistance will be immense. with such small engine, it won't be possible to overcome that

even with all the help u can gain, ur stock tyres has only been rated safe to run at 190kmh. more and the tyre is at risk of giving up

Ya. Myvi brake disc is very small and far from giving good bite. Yet the weight distribution giving too much presure to the front disc and the rear drum can say is useless. What i heard the reason for myvi disc wrap is become the design of the caliper. Nowaday, i saw many myvi change disc to bigger inch around 13-14" and some convert rear to disc brake. And now perodua come out with a new version of disc and caliper.
*
it does a good job at bringing the car to a gentle stop at the traffic lights at normal speeds. and thats it....anymore, really hafta push the pedal in.

rear drum...maybe the shoes hasn't worn in ba...i got an old 94' wira that has just got the brakes overhauled. the first few months, i couldn't get the rear wheel to lock with e brake. then now, i can easily get it to lock up especially after raining

Guys, a few newbie questions to ask.

1. If the car is in Neutral (AT) and I hard brake, will the ABS still kick in?

2. How can I switch off the alarm if I open the car with my key, if my remote battery is dead?

3. Myvi SE got how many horsepower?
*
1; yes. abs is a seperate system...but u might find it harder to get it to kick in cause the brake booster depends on engine suction. higher engine rev shud theoretically produce more suction...am i rite here???

2; get in the car, insert the key and turn to on,...remove the key. it should disable the alarm

3; same as standard 1.3 models but different power to weight ratios. the best power to weight ratio would be 1.3 manual as its the lightest in its among the models.

i guess...paskal's theory is wrong. at least for my car

i disconnected the horn so that i don't have to annoy everyone in my vicinity.

though is normal?

i tried to open car door with key + without disable alarm + without opened window...
the hazard light will flash but it wont siren for the 10-15seconds...
if more than 10-15 seconds dont switch on ur car with key, it will start siren...
*
mine differ....just open only then it will start the alarm

it will only flash for 10 times or so if i lock the car when either one door is not closed properly. Mine 2007 SR...how come 2007 SE can be different

i think the position of the horn is quite vulnerable. can go underneath and unplug 1. i plan to add another horn under the bonnet cover so if its disconnected also, the alarm can sound

ya, means any key can start up ur car if u already remove the immobilizer. am i correct? sweat.gif
i think it has engine cut and fuel pump cut. but i think it becomes quite vulnerable after remote start.....

paskal....u go test see. lock urself in, remote start it then see can drive far or not. usually cannot drive further than a few hundred meters
