Mayb its the VVT working dats why it revs up when shifting need time for the dephaser to advance the valve timing

Underdrive pully is made smaller than the original pulley in terms of size...When it is made by aluminium and underdrived, it helps to reduce the workload  of your engine, hence increase horsepower and save fuel. Faster pick-up can be gained instantly, and maximum horsepower gained across 3000-3500rpm.

its lighten crankpulley bro.Lighter will result in better engine response coz the pulley is lighter but bear in mind the standard crank pulley has built in damper does the lighten pulley has it.

dont u know that myvi has DVVT which means Dynamic Variable Valve Timing,When u cruise in town u need lotsa low end torque so the inlet valves open and closes at a faster rate meaning the valve does not open long for induction, when u play high rev ur valves need to open alot more longer to aloew the engine to breath easier and give more power at higher revs. The main idea of VVT is to enhance low end and high end torque and thus better emission and fuel economy.
