why would u think people don't dare? why not think people think ur bm language very poor that u dunno malay when they ask u in malay hence choose to adapt to converse in english to with u because they can? i personally do that.

if ur malay is really so-so or worst really bad though, its a missed opportunity for you to learn malay for free hence u are at lost? u can only be proficient in a language if ur actively using it
