Proud (ex)owner of w850i!

Well, my precious w850 got stolen this evening and I was not aware about this thread until I surfed the forum for recommendations for new phones. Ahhh... what a heartbreak to loose such a good phone!

For those who are hesitant on buying w850, please read.

Firstly, w850 is the ONLY phone I did not regret buying. It gives no problem at all to me, and the design is just simply beautiful yet smart. I like how their plastic cover does not feel cheap at all, and how attractive is their walkman orange light.

Plus, the common misconception is that the d-pad is hard to use. I can assure you, the D-Pad is one of the best that I've used. It's really innovative to have such small buttons, but it works, trust me. Just press it using your thumb's meat, not the fingernail! I got used to it just within a few days and it was really really nice to use. It feels very secure because you need a little pressure to press it, but not too much to be inconvenient.

The only downside of this phone I would say is the camera. I've not previously owned a camera phone before so I do not know how would other camera phones fare compared to w850. Nevertheless, it was stated in many reviews that it wasn't quite good. Sure it takes pictures, but the lack of zoom and also due to certain reasons you need to make sure the phone is very close to an object so that the object looks big enough in the picture.

The music quality is awesome, there's nothing to say about it. Just pure awesomeness topped with awesomesauce.

I just fell in love with this phone the first time I saw it when I was looking through phones in mobile88. This was like THE phone to get. And I finally got it. Once again, I simply love the elegant, yet practical and smart design. I'm very amazed at how smartly they have design this phone that the overall feel feels so perfect.

Bought it at AP Price of RM1300, I wonder why so many are paying more at the same date of purchase as me?

damn, my phone just went swimming under the sea in port dickson yesterday...  mad.gif

after saving it from water and waiting for it to dry, my phone comes out funny sounds like bubbles.

Now my sliding area (slide up and down) becomes very hard and tough to slide it, not so smooth anymore.

My phone managed to be ON, but ALL the buttons seems to corrupt. Eg : I pressed number 2 once, and the screen shows 2345.

In current situation I cant use my phone , since i cant operate it at all. What should i do?

I still have the 1 year warranty, yet my phone is AP, not ori... >_<

if fixing, where and how much it would be?
Thanks in advance.  notworthy.gif

I think most of the companies do not offer warranty for water damage, only insurance does.
