nope... now the connector in ur hp got prob... not so sure whether can fix it anot, but u can give it a try to ask the hp shop... mine edi use for 2 years++ but still in good cond... =P

hi.. i think im da most problematic user of this phone in here. today i discovered new prob in my w850i.

date of purchase - jan 2007.

price when purchase - RM 1300 (AP) new. golden white.

problems until now:

1) after few months using, da D-pad cracked. (i think this is normal faced by almost all users).
2) after many months, white blinking screen happened. went back to the shop. they said ribbon problem. sent there for service for almost 3 weeks. im charged RM170 for ribbon work.
3) same problem happened again after 2 weeks. went back to the shop. its fixed FOC but it takes 3 weeks plus.
4) this year, screen distorted. went upside down. can make call but LCD is totally out. went to another shop for fixing. they said its ribbon faulty and software problem. (they also added that my previous service was a cheat since its not being changed at all). i was charged RM120 for all this. i was given 2 months warranty. since august, this phone is doing fine until today.
6) about few weeks ago i realise my charging/headphone connector easily disconnected. but i dont really mind for this.
5) today, i realised that i cant hear anything when making/receiving call when my slide is opened. but when the slide is closed, the speaker went back to normal. anyone knows whats happening now? im so sad.. i really love this phone that i dont wanna sell it.. but at da same time, its making me dead.. please... thank you soo much in advance..

maybe not ur lucky phone..mine works perfect,even dropped more than 8 times...it even throw out from my car while i was driving around the roundabout..but its fine

i think it has something to do with the ribbon too... better send for service again

yeah.. thinking da same too.. again? omg.. tis phone so pandai one la.. after 2 months only wanna make probs.. then i have to pay again.... maybe tis will be my last slider phone although i really luv sliders

hohoho.. true also... if the accumulated cost of u fixing it, exceeded the price of a new phone.. then its not worth it at all... BTW, i really regret selling this phone as i too love it very much esp for the music.. miss those loud and clear music from this phone..

yeah.. now i think havent reach tat point.. u sell off urs?? yeah.. da music is very nice.. i hardly use my samsung mp3 player..

yeah.. i sold off mine to get a K770i.. i always wanted a slide phone but.. i dunno why i sold it off...

but it got major scratch ..need to replace the screen protector again.i'm very scared the phone would died that time..i bought mine for 1030.00..really sayang that phone,the most expensive i ever bought

only replace the SP first laa..no money for whole housing maa...in fact the housing still looks fine,grade A housing already cost rm90

ic.. good la.. ure lucky to have a good model.. mine is a doomed one now still thinking.. a lot i wanna do with this baby.. planning to change da whole housing too.. but considering da probs...... think twice.. or more

look doesnt matter..the phone itself r important,function..camera,sound quality.why not do some patch and mod the phone..make it a bit different than other.even my phone got many people want to buy

Totally depend on how you taking care of your phone. Mine one cause me no problem at all and it is already one year plus. D-pad look perfect and no crack, wonder why other people one will crack, maybe their finger are too powerful?

i think not cause by their fingers,but nails la..mine also seems fine.so,here the top tips..cut ur nail
