Don't even need that high budget for office use unless you are doing media work.
Ultra wide is not good for excel use because normally you need vertical space.
Monitor for work, Which model?

QUOTE(lawrencehl @ Nov 29 2023, 09:33 AM) For my case my spreadsheet will be more column so maybe wider might be better? Especially when dealing with gantt chart, currently I'm using 27 FHD for some more column spreadsheet need to scroll left & right. Actually I'm thinking to have 2 monitor but my dock have only 1 HDMI so maybe a wider screen will be the solution? Then you already know if you need an ultra wide monitor. My spreadsheet will have more column. You are using 1 widescreen or 2? Any model to recommend? is better monitor will reduce eye fatigue? |

QUOTE(lawrencehl @ Nov 29 2023, 09:54 AM) It depend on the distance of your eyes to the monitor. Better check it out in person. For office use any IPS panel monitor is more than enough. If you want OLED then beware that the font may look bad for some user. Just Google OLED font. lawrencehl liked this post
