Hi All, need your expert opinion or life experience on this. I'm not a nutritionist and my opinion might be wrong, so I humbly need people who have experience or knowledge out there to help me out. As the title stated I'm recently searching for milk for pregnant women for my wife. However I found out that the sugar level on the nutrition chart is kinda high if i compared with the adult sugar intake guideline online which is 30g/day.

Let say for the xxx brand below :

for every 50g it has 24.5g of sugar which is almost hit the maximum sugar intake for an adult for a day and the promoter encourage to take 2x a days which is 100g with a 49g... I mean, through out the day my wife could eat other meal that contained sugar as well. My question is can I calculate sugar intake this way and it is even safe for pregnant lady? I understand that we could easily exceed the 30g day in day out. But I heard that during pregnant it is utmost crucial to keep the glucose level in check to prevent any complication. Thanks.

Hello! Not an expert but I recently gave birth. My family has a history of diabetes so apparently that placed me at a higher risk of developing gestational diabetes. During my pregnancy, my gynae told me not to consume maternal milk and to Stick with prenatal vitamins and fresh milk. Hope this helps.
