Hi All, need your expert opinion or life experience on this. I'm not a nutritionist and my opinion might be wrong, so I humbly need people who have experience or knowledge out there to help me out. As the title stated I'm recently searching for milk for pregnant women for my wife. However I found out that the sugar level on the nutrition chart is kinda high if i compared with the adult sugar intake guideline online which is 30g/day.
Let say for the xxx brand below :

for every 50g it has 24.5g of sugar which is almost hit the maximum sugar intake for an adult for a day and the promoter encourage to take 2x a days which is 100g with a 49g... I mean, through out the day my wife could eat other meal that contained sugar as well. My question is can I calculate sugar intake this way and it is even safe for pregnant lady? I understand that we could easily exceed the 30g day in day out. But I heard that during pregnant it is utmost crucial to keep the glucose level in check to prevent any complication. Thanks.
Hello! Not an expert but I recently gave birth. My family has a history of diabetes so apparently that placed me at a higher risk of developing gestational diabetes. During my pregnancy, my gynae told me not to consume maternal milk and to Stick with prenatal vitamins and fresh milk. Hope this helps.Let say for the xxx brand below :
