There is different during ADSL, I confirmed with "TM WiFi", but unifi, no such QoS spotted yet. hmm.gif
As long as the IP range is same, the routing will be the same.

It was sky during that switch to UniFi, as they got heavy throttling on YouTube/Google to 480KBPS for Streamyx in past. tongue.gif
Then agreement done, no more throttling, but start performing throttling on CloudFlare until now... doh.gif

Also the best is physical, if you live on high land ground, you will no need to worry about the thunder strike your router, phone and your network(3 times for me), lol. laugh.gif

At least FiberHome don't reboot randomly like AC1200v2, but yes, it is still crappy la, the good one out of crappy. laugh.gif
As it works fine up to 300M, then 500M is depend on your smartphone device + router etc.

Try checking your IP in your router, if it’s 100.x.x, then CGNAT, if not then public IP

If CGNAT, you can maybe rant to TM but that’s basically screaming to a wall
If not CGNAT, you can let TM know and they MIGHT or MIGHT NOT acknowledge it, and that’s bad routing issue

YMMV
No, ISP controls routing, BGP specifically it’s called

TM controls it on their AS network, and they have the final call on what route they choose

You can try to rant to TM but unless it’s a major issue impacting their network, they most likely won’t do shit smile.gif

If your ping is less then 35 this is not the issue. Most important is to have good respond time. (i am not talking about ping) Your request is responded at that movement.
Maxis have better route then TM that is for sure but not always as route are very complicated to determine. Some route are busy some not so depend on the traffic. For example from KL to go to singapore direct drive using NSE is fast but sometimes jammed so we have go to penang and take submarine to go singapore. Is complicated and hard to know the results. However Maxis does manage this route well. Maxis will take roket to singapore if the roket are available but roket is not always available . All crap example but you get my point. On top of that we got fast and slow lane also.

Some data may aslo missing also during the transportation and you need new data which will cause slow to respond.

If you notice open a lowyat forum website maxis respond faster then unfi. If you don't notice this don't bother.

route will make your respond faster not your ping. Respond time is more important then ping. I game better from my LTE maxis then my fiber unfi. My Lte ping is 22 my unfi is 3ping.

bangwall.gif [B] bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif

So i just changed from maxis fibre to unifi home but my ping is so high  ranting.gif

Speedtest with ookla (Maxis) - Below 10 ping
Speedtest with ookla (Unifi) - Around 20 ping

Gaming with Maxis 60-70ms ping only
Gaming with Unifi 80-100ms sometime 200ms

Some people may say the ping is still okay , but as a competitive player it feel so much different ! I am playing FPS game and the movement feels so clumsy and my bullets travel speed slower than before  bye.gif

I already filed a report and technician came to my house to check and he say nothing wrong and he cant do anything  rclxub.gif  doh.gif

Extra info : Now using FiberHome modem provided by Unifi and a Maxis Kaoan AR2140 router. The reason why i use maxis router is because i get more speed from unifi own router sweat.gif

Where is your game server.

Japan about 40-45ping
China and HK 10-25ping
Singpore 10-15ping.

Some cheap game server will slow down you even you are fast.

I got almost 50% head shot with LTE maxis and i got almost 10% on unfi. Some hit also not register or half damage is register only.

unifi & unifi biz usually has around 2ms 1st hop ping and 6-8ms hop ping after that, maxis fibre and other fibre provider that ride on HSBB usually has higher ping than that, coz they have to Hop on HSBB network from their own network or TM doing another unfair advantages. becoz back in Streamyx ADSL era, other ADSL provider example Jaring ADSL that ride on Streamyx last Mile has almost same 1st few hops ping. Streamyx ADSL era with Fast Path instead of Interleaved with different Leveled Path at the each port config can get the same 6-8ms 1st few hops ping. strange that unifi fibre still get the same 6-8ms 1st few hops ping.

my ping to dota 2 SEA SG Server was around 8ms. only SG player can get lower than that, around less than 5ms.

unifi & unifi biz has different dynamic ip range that never overlap each other, same thing happen during Streamyx & Streamyx Business.

unifi fibre back in 2018 with 30mbps and TM default D-Link DIR-850L Router, due to high bandwidth 30mbps and next gen at that time Router that be able to process more than 800mbps throughput, even with multiple person using wifi surfing internet and watch video etc, the person that doing gaming doesnt and almost never ever feel sudden lag due to other user was using the internet.

It seems like Unifi throttle lifted at 2am? After 2am network fast again.
