If speed tier not enforced I wonder why need to advertise it š¤ maybe after certain period they will enforce. Iām on the Postpaid SE60 and able to get 400mbps+ speeds.

QUOTE(NagaK @ Jun 22 2024, 03:03 PM) So far macam yes. The speed cap isnāt enforced yet. Iām on the Postpaid 60 SE and on 4G able to get 150-200 mbps. Kinda makes me wonder why advertise plans different speed tiers if itās not enforced. |

QUOTE(PalakOtakHang @ Jun 25 2024, 07:41 PM) Is Digi 4G reliable in PJ area? I dont need 5G, need stable internet connectivity good enough. Im currently using Yoodo (Celcom), want to mnp to CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G. Most of the people say Maxis Hotlink is better From my experience having used Maxis previously before switching to CD, outdoor coverage for 4G more or less the same. However, for indoors I find CD have better speeds compared to Maxis. I mostly around BU, and indoor although both have good 4G coverage, CD is faster. Maxis I noticed within this area is that got full 4G bars, but Internet very slow. Got frequent buffer while watching FB videos/Twitter using Maxis. |

Has anyone tried moving from CD postpaid 5G to CD prepaid Edisi Kuning? I recently wanted to changed mine coz cheaper and more data. I chose the āchange planā option on the website but it seems like theyāre delivering me a new sim card? I wonder how does this work š¤
Is it as simple as swapping the sim (and maintain existing number) or need to āport outā to prepaid since both under CD. |

So Iāve tried switching from the Postpaid 60 SE to CD Prepaid Edisi Kuning. Iām surprised thereās no call from Celcom retention team, and the process was rather straightforward. Same like how you port to other carrier.
One thing I noticed, previously on postpaid it shows as āBersama di Wilayah Celcomā. Now change to edisi kuning, it shows as DiGi. Thought my area edi fully integrated the network. This post has been edited by lolabunny123: Jul 3 2024, 08:28 PM |

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Jul 3 2024, 09:56 PM) My assumption was that theyāre trying to retain their customer on postpaid, coz I remember that time Maxis make a big fuss when I wanted to change from postpaid to prepaid. Nevertheless, I still think CD postpaid plans arenāt worth it, unless one is looking for unlimited 4G/5G. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Jul 22 2024, 11:38 AM) Regretted to port to celcomdigi biru plan. Do you have that annoying voicemail notification with Kuning? I recently switched to DiGi and am very annoyed with the constant voicemail notification on the phone app. Checked on Lowyat and it says that the issue has been going on since few years back. Need to go through complicated process with customer service to get rid of it. I end up changing to biru. For my usage, RM39 package is more than enough. Indoor coverage for me also not bad. Better than Kuning imo.1) iMessage and FaceTime not working - completely cannot activate them. No such issue when I was on hotlink and celcom digi kuning plans. 2) no esim. From the website faq, it stated that esim is only for postpaid. Not sure how true is it. But kuning one has esim option for sure. 3) lower data quota - for the same price, kuning has 30GB + 10gb high speed data and biru only has 15gb only. While I was on kuning my usage is low at less than 5gb used after 30 days with kuning. I activated my biru rm25 plan on 14 July. My data left with less than 5gb now only less than 9 days of usage. While one may argues that the usage pattern may vary each month. However, with less than 9 days I already left less than 5gb, while my usage pattern is still similar as before, it is questionable if data usage ran faster on biru. Nevertheless my guess is that my data may use up this week then this sat I will go to switch back to kuning instead. |

Does changing APN settings make any difference in terms of speed and connection? Saw somewhere that say if change APN from celcom3g to celcom4g will make data speed faster.

QUOTE(wengtim @ Aug 30 2024, 11:50 PM) Thanks sir. Yeah would be nice to see CelcomDigi, My Celcom or just Celcom tagline. The current one is so long and unnecessary. That's nice, considering swapping to a CelcomDigi plan from Celcom legacy Mega plan and i've been seeing BERSAMA DI WILAYAH CELCOM for almost 5 years now, feeling damn pariah with the meaningless carrier tagline. My other number is on Yoodo, it just says yoodo, no caps. Damn clean. |

QUOTE(kimgy86 @ Sep 13 2024, 09:16 PM) Something to note. If youāre using Umobile Postpaid you will need to pay all the billed and unbilled amount else they will reject the request. The way they process the request also very odd. That time I port from UM to CD 80, they gave quite a long timeframe to reply the portout confirmation (9 hours time frame for me) and they will only send confirmation exactly right after the timeframe given, which is a bit different from other telco from my experience. I tried UMobile for a while to test but coverage really bad indoors and my office area. So I port back to CD after a few weeks of usage. For my area CD still king, even 1 bar still can use to watch YouTube, FB etc unlike UM. kimgy86 liked this post

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Oct 1 2024, 10:29 AM) Celcom usually do not allow direct switching from postpaid to prepaid. However, within the same company you can switch to Celcomdigi Kuning prepaid (MNP). Then decide if you want to switch back to Celcomdigi Biru prepaid later. From my experience previously can easily change but need to pay RM10 for the SIM. Granted I was using the CD80 postpaid plan and wanted to change to CD Edisi Biru.If you plan to use the number actively at minimal cost, get the CD Kuning 25 plan, Rm25 for 30gb monthly plus unlimited calls. wwoosy liked this post

QUOTE(Epic_winner091 @ Oct 23 2024, 09:48 AM) Overall first impressions? Night and day difference from Yes. This is postpaid or prepaid? AFAIK no speed cap yet for postpaid. Prepaid I noticed after few months got speed cap 100mbpsTheir 4G actually works (duh). There is a speed cap when using 5G (100 Mbps) but it's not noticeable unless you do speedtests all day. Aik apparently not? |

I recently just MNP from CD to Maxis due to the promotion. Seems like I might MNP back to CD due to this new quota upgrade. My area while both coverage seems is acceptable, CD performs much better indoors than Maxis. I wonder if thereās a limit to the MNP process š

QUOTE(jasontanky @ Nov 14 2024, 08:25 PM) Indoor coverage wise is really area dependent. I'll rank in terms of speed based on my experience currently Maxis network was heavily congested when I was at Sunway Pyramid last weekend. Couldnāt even send WhatsApp messages.IOI Mall Puchong 1. Maxis 2. CelcomDigi (Celcom used to be better than Maxis, but the recently integrated CelcomDigi both speed and signal wise a lot poorer) IOI Mall Putrajaya 1. Digi (performance is way better when peak hour) 2. Maxis 3. Celcom (easily getting congested) Pavilion Bukit Jalil 1. Celcom 2. Maxis 3. Digi (somehow not even have 4G+) Sunway Pyramid 1. CelcomDigi 2. Maxis SunwayGeo 1. CelcomDigi (Maxis no signal in the basement) Bloomsvale OKR 1. Maxis (CelcomDigi no signal in carpark and ground floor) Cannot say much about other shopping malls as I am not a frequent visitor |
