Hi not sure if this is the appropriate thread to ask this but i have a question about the main line / supplementary line part; i asked an employee at celcom about it but wanted to double check if i am understanding it correctly.

Main line = unlimited data + calls
Supp Line 1 = RM20 (unlimited data + calls too? or RM20 + 50% cost of any postpaid of their choice?)
Supp Line 2 = RM20 (unlimited data + calls too? or RM20 + 50% cost of any postpaid of their choice?)

you can check here —> https://www.celcomdigi.com/postpaid/family

Basically all supp line comes with unlimited call. However for the data plan, it depends on plan you choose.

E.g rm30 got 15gb
Rm40 90gb
Rm50 unlimited.

The price above is before 50% discount.

thank you, i have never looked at these plan as i always believe cash buy is always better, so i am trying to work out the pros and con.

Just ordered a SWU 4.0 (the 500mbps RM 139 per month package, long story short; 300mbps is more than enough for me and my family) few days ago and been contemplating whether should i continue with unifi or take this chance to take the Onepro package.

Per month i will be looking at; RM 201 + 20 + 20 = RM 241 + Device principal (IP16 Pro, RM 170+ i think) = RM 411 + sst 6 = RM 435.66 +- monthly; 2 Years instead of 3 Years to be free of contract asap so can hop ISP whenever a better package available is what the others said on lowyat forum i gathered.

I wonder if its a net positive in the end if i sell the device (IP16 pro in this case) after 2 years to get my desired IP generation; as i am currently fine using IP XR (you can grasp what kind of phone user i am) and have no strong want for IP 16 / 16 pro to use for the minimum 5 years as it looks underwhelming so far.

Currently our family is paying Unifi RM 168.55 + digi 38 + digi 53 + celcom 82.70 = RM 342.25 per month minimum . hmm. wow... shocking.gif although 168.55 will RM139+sst,

435.66 - 342.25 = 93.41 * 24 = 2241.84 paid more than needed currently after 2 years. Will iphone 16 pro 128 gb worth more than Rm2k minimum in the market after 2 years? (i am assuming the phone is unlocked only after 2 years?)

Technically the phone is unlocked which you can use other simcard and technically you can sell the phone before your contract end. However its really hard to sell to strangers.

In term of pricing, 2yrs old ip16pro will be ard 2600-2800. This price is based on current switch trade in price for ip14pro which is rm2990

i see, i been told fb market can easily let go Iphone though. i guess; i am not sure how protected one can be unlike selling it on ebay for example with their buyer/seller protection.

anyhow, any potential downside if one changed their phone number under the other's name ?

i know theres a process charges, both parties need to present at the time, credit score/loyalty reset or something of the sort? whatelse
