New twist in me and wifu foray of getting a new iPhone with celcomdigi device plans.

After 2 different celcomdigi branches staff asking her to apply for new line in order to get the iPhone plan, she went the online route and got the phone already. No need to add any new lines.

So today we went to a bluecube? What's the new name? To get ESim.

Get the esim, was told it's rm10. Wifu paid cash, no receipt whatsoever. Was told cannot pay via billing or any cashless. I checked celcomdigi website no such charges. Hahahaha. Wifu furious kena scam 10 ringgit. Had to placate her with chagee next door.

no receipt? indeed. i went to replace mine at digi store (official) also no receipt given for the replacement and it is FREE.

no receipt = no evidence. very smart. tongue.gif

if anyone had done fibre broadband installation (landed) before with one of the service providers, may also encounter the situation, that the installers (which should be their vendor), asking for instalation fee to lay the fibre cable to the house. usually they can ask as high as rm200 or higher, and one can bargain for the cost until agree to install. but one might not notice is that the standard installation is actually FREE for the first 50 meters of cabling. 50 meters is very long one must know, typical landed house to pull the fibre cable from the pole or the box outside to inside the house can NEVER exceed such length and unless u request for non-standard installation such as concealing the cables etc..

again after the installation, will have no receipt given for such CHARGED installation except the usual completion form from the service provider with no additional cost mentioned.

so even later u complaint to the service provider, nothing they can do unless u can provide the receipt for the money u paid to the installer.

but it is certainly 100% free for such installation. so any extra cost paid is a 'donation'.

in other thread of the sub-forum, i raised this before, some even commented that it is no harm to give such donation which they said the installers are earning the money hard also which I do not agree la.. this is totally different things. If they did a good job, u want to treat them a drink or give them tips toward the end, it is ur choice. But if they demand the installation cost, the act itself is technically crime already.

This is the "Always Active" feature.

Didn't work anymore for me. I topped up RM100 (120 days validity). Plan is RM10 monthly. First 4 mths OK, 5th month, no longer auto renews. Asked Digi CS, they saw bcos validity expired. Using Digi Prepaid Live.

But their PDS still show always active

Perhaps should ask Soyacincau or Pendakwah Teknologi to write about it and publish in their social media. Just like how one person claim his Maxis iPhone is sim locked even after contract period end.

Hi all sifu, I am thinking to change a new plan for getting new iphone from celcom digi. But I found that they only provide postpaid plan with 6 months free home fibre which is not applicable to me.

Anyone here can share some info? What if I would like to get a new iphone from telco without taking up the home fibre?
*
Find another centre which doesn't push the home fibre plan. Postpaid 100 and above already can get iPhone. Otherwise, just register online.

yes, consumers should be more aware of their rights, but obviously this is something that is extremely poor in bolehland. many consumers are not aware of their rights or some would rather save the troubles by just paying whenever they are asked to and dun bother to pursue the case.
you are right that, this should be published for public awareness.

it is 50m free, if u check the faq on the website. tongue.gif

I had a similar experience trying to port out from Yes.

The staff at the Digi Store Express asked for RM10 for the SIM. Which should be free as stated on the Digi site. And of course no receipts and cash only.

It's really annoying to hear and see this.

I ported into CelcomDigi Kuning at Digi Store in Setapak Central few months ago, was done under 5 mins no charge. They gave me a physical SIM.

The next day once it's ported, I went again to get eSIM and also done under 5 mins no charge.

it should be free.. i replaced mine few months back by converting from physical sim to esim. and i went to digi store (official and not 3rd party authorised dealer).

FAQ clearly stated that the request to convert is free (i never see anywhere mentioned any rm10 replacement fee).

anyone who went to request for esim replacement, should show them this and demand for free replacement without listening to the shxt from them.

after such confusion i did call celcomdigi hotline for clarification,
kiosk sim replacements rm10 is legit, esim is foc period!
collecting cash without official mail or receipt for customer means someone is corrupting (masuk pocket) at the front end 🙊

Mine got official emailed receipt. Digi Store mah. But dunno why tell me prepaid cannot have eSim. So maybe prepaid if want to transfer eSIM, cannot, need to change to SIM card (RM10) then convert back to eSIM (foc.)

Yes certainly no charge.

I was also on physical sim and wanted to change to eSIM. Went to digi store A, the staff said only postpaid can get eSIM. I left.

Went to store B, when asked for eSIM, straightaway the staff changed to eSIM for me for free without any questions asked.

Obviously this is individual branch or individual staff evil behavior.

Prepaid all the way. eSIM on old phone want to transfer to new phone. Digi Store C180 say cannot "only Postpaid can have eSIM" and gave me a SIM card for RM10. 2 days later, go Digi dealer PJ State, no problem, change the SIM card to eSIM, FOC.

3 years ago, same Digi Store C180 changed for me SIM card to eSIM FOC.

new prepaid for digi indeed must be physical sim first. then like u said, subsequently only can convert to esim. If completely new to digi and sign up a prepaid, maybe need to pay this is common Becos need to buy starter sim pack. whether is it rm10 then I am not so sure.

If port in from other telco to new digi prepaid, it is FREE, even for the physical sim given. I had done this recently only.

And once no ported over, can go to change to eSIM. And again it is also FREE.

this is what it used to be, giving false information to confuse customer and earn side income from the merger period is big disappointment🙄

Mine is not new prepaid. It's old prepaid, old phone to old prepaid, new phone.

Other than that, correct. Same experience here. Port in from Maxis to Digi Prepaid, free SIM. Have done that for 2 numbers. Thus far, Digi prepaid SIM to eSIM, also free. Have done this twice as well.

Only thing unsuccessful so far is eSIM from one phone to eSIM on another phone. Will have to test again in a few years time.

No, eSim to eSim, Digi Store say cannot. Actually they said prepaid no more eSim. So...
...eSim to SIM, RM10.
After 2 nights sleep and go PJ State. SIM to eSim, foc. Digi dealer, not Digi Store.

So ultimately yes, RM10 for eSim ...>>...>>S>..I>>>M>.>.>P>....J>...> eSim
