can it seem like a backtracked statement?

as I know it, you can not register a new RFID tag to a car unless you terminate the existing one

why suddenly saying when buy new now, the old one will auto deregister

you buy new one and try to link to a car with existing rfid, it will not go through right?

Dang, I'm one of the earliest pilot user, but didn't receive any email / notification.

Same here, pilot RFID user since 2018 never receive invitation.

I notice our old tag detection at the toll gantry seem slower compare to other cars with newer tags.

No way... I'm among the first hundred to get it fix on my car's headlamp. That time, the only 'approve' fixture is on the headlamp. ranting.gif

haha in a way I do agree with you, "if it's not broke, why fix it". They should reward pilot tester a new replacement tag, not only cashback! vmad.gif

i think the excuse "wear n tear" for pilot tags maybe 10% true (low quality film/antenna initially used for testing)

newer tags could be....

1) improved material to last longer with malaysia climate?
2) improved antenna to capture rfid signal from transceiver?
3) improved security ? pilot tags are being fraud/cloned easily?
4) changed vendor?

since they are targeting specifically to Pilot Tags, there must be some underlying reasons for them to expedite replacement.... heck, they should give free to ALL instead of cherry-picking 100k users only (unless pilot users are <100k anyway)

Most likely. From a corporate perspective, if the card is okay, why even go through the hassle of replacement.
