Serving notice period can start work in other com?, can start work in other company?

Hi All, If I already tender and start serving notice period. Since I have many leaves, so basically started on leaves till the end of payroll from the current company. During this leaves period, If I start work in other company (not competitor) during notice period/leaves, is this considered acceptable? Also, during this period, current and new company will give payroll to me including PCB deduction and EPF. any concern or things to be noted?
