It will never match, even if you use the same paint to paint both area. Because the surface is different material, once finished painting it will still look different.  Also rarely we apply pure white colour paint, cuz its really easy to see the imperfection on wall and its very cold for house la. Recommmend to apply a much sandy beige off-white paint.
