Hi everyone, may I check on the process to obtain MSIG Certificate of Insurance?

I am in the midst of applying autopass to enter Singapore. They don't accept cover note. Only certificate of Insurance but I'm not sure on how to get it at this hour.

My agent only sent me cover note usually but not the certificate.

Please help to advice on how can I get it online/ASAP. Thanks once again

Usually your agent, or your email , will give you a copy of the certificate.

In layman, cover note is like your quotation or draft copy before you pay

Certificate is your final/actual receipt after you pay.

I see. Unfortunately my agent just pass me invoice of my payment and also the cover note. Nothing about certificate of Insurance.

that one is not cover note, but it should call quotation to be specific i guess.

normally when insurance is about due, they will send that to u to remind to renew.

to answer ur quotation about certificate of insurance (i am using MSIG).
depending on how u renew, for my case, i renew via the insurance dept of the dealer that i bought from car from. every year they just send the quotation to me via physical mail or whatsapp (softcopy).

if renew via whatsapp - once payment made, get the certificate of insurance (soft copy) via whatsapp, can pay via bank transfer only.
if i go to the dealer insurance dept to renew physically, i get the physical copy, can pay using credit card.
at anytime, only get the physical copy or softcopy and not both..

Call insurance company directly. Same situation last month due to typo on my name but with Etiqa. 5 minutes messaging CS online resolved for my case. Same as TS applying Access Card Singapore

Based on recently applied Access card Singapore, wait about 10 days for online approval. Then surprise, need another 5 days after email approved to take the Access card.

Car Grant must be my own name? Mine is not updated yet as I have finished my car loan and didn't go to jpj for grant renewal.. Currently is still previous owner name. Pls pls advice

Im not sure, as the Geran will have your name at the 2nd page. Just try sending online for application for approval first. If rejected, within 1-2 days straight get email notifications.

Else pay 70 Sgd per trip for car driver in JB lol, from JB to Singapore trio. I have spent 140 Sgd return trip for a USS trip last month, thanks to 5 days surprise waiting period for the access card. Or another, take busses from CIQ, much cheaper, and continue with MRT

I've been engaging private driver from jb to sg all these while. Lol not worth it considering I'm ferrying my family.

Hence this time round I decided to drive in. Where did you collect your autopass from? From the Web it's only jb town and iskandar puteri office.

From the JB town, forgot the name, just waze last time

My autopass application just got approved today after submitting the certificate of Insurance.
