Received calls from NFCC told me my phone number was used in multiple scam reported in perak.

They fail to provide me any information beside able to tell me my phone number, ask me for my name for verification, i refused to provide anything, then they verify my phone number with me(the number they call), then ask me to provide information to help me file something else my bank account will be frozen within hours.

Told them need not to do anything, ill handle it after bank account frozen.

Truecaller (app) cant verify those callers

had to answer a bit la, had to know if its real or scam, if they cant even provide me anything beside phone number then only know its scam, cant just get call from random person then instantly call them scammer.

last time need to aware of scammer from myammar, now within malaysia, can tell both of them are malaysian(malaysian english)

just for a reminder if u got a call that start with a mobile phone number a when u answer it it say bla bla bla...conlanfirm is scam...up to u guy wanna play around or not..if dont want then just hang up the phone

I received same call before, send email to real nfcc to ask about it, got official reply nfcc will never call end user directly.

and dont forget those pre-recorded voice messages, saying u hv tunggakan bayaran or whatever

same old tactic, just that they use different 'organization'

Still can fall for this. No institution will call using handphone number or land line. They will just pay you a visit or send a snail letter.

Nowadays people so easily fall to scams without using common sense

omg this thread helped me, the scammer says till super real like my phone number will be blocked etc.

If want to catch you they won't call to inform you first

Just reply in very rude way or interrupted the call. Then report the number.

Scammers will blacklist you. That actually good thing.

edit: it is actually not advisable to reply to scammers. just hang up.

I don’t answer unknown numbers anymore. If urgent, leave a voicemail or message.
